The White Fang in Images

Beginning: A famine killed every dog except the young White Fang and his mother.

Mother dog and puppy huddled in a snow bank. A gnawed bone next to the two dogs shows how little there is to eat.

Rising Action: After taming White Fang, White Fang's first Indian owner Gray Beaver trades the dog for firewater.

Image: Indian drinking bottle of whisky. A nasty looking man named Beauty Smith puts a chain around White Fang's neck. "Now you'll fight for me!" the man says to the dog.

Climax: White Fang (a Husky) and a Bulldog fights almost to the death.

Image: Two dogs fighting. A gold miner (holding a pan in his hand) runs to stop White Fang from getting killed as the rest of the mining camp (including Beauty Smith) looks on.

Falling Action: After becoming civilized by the gold miner Weedon Scott, White Fang repays the kindness at Scott's home by attacking a criminal named Jim Hall, who has come to kill Judge Scott. After taking the bullets meant for Scott's father White Fang attacks the criminal, named Jim Hall, by the throat.

Image: White Fang grabbing Hall in his teeth.

Ending: White Fang, after becoming part of the Scott family, starts a family of his own with the Weedon sheep dog Collie.

Image: White Fang, stands next to Collie. Collie is curled up near her pups like White Fang's mother was in the first image, but there is a bowl of food to eat, and many little dogs rather than just one dog.
